  • Great big bulging eyes

Apparently the boy got Halo 3 on Saturday. He finished it at 8am on Sunday :))

His ferret caught a rabbit with meximatosis today 88| I've been assured that his ferret will be fine. The disease doesn't go across species.

Oh gawd they're talking about rabbits on Big Daddy too

    mad rabbit

I pointed for a while this morning and there were no crashes :>> Sat outside with a friend for a while (gagging for a fag but it's offensive to folk who don't like smoking, to just ignore that fact) Saw my wee pal I (who's just turned 3) ... gave her my Micky Mouse jibbitz for her Crocs cos she's lovely.

Missed the tea by the time I went in so coming home was nice *fag & cuppa*

I'm fairly missing Flicky, since her PC screen went black. I hope she can get it fixed but something tells me that won't be a priority right now :))

    I love Stephen Fry :>>

I don't like slebs but out of all famous people he's my favourite for many reasons. I'm not gonna say what they are :)) suffice to say ... he's a lovely person.

    Yes, I'm watching BBC2

Went to town. Bought a bath washy thing, wicker basket and bin liners from Lakeland. There's a sale on :D

Bought 'stuff' from the chemist U-( still feeling sick after eating.

Bought a massage thingy for relaxing my lower back.

Didn't take the Volarol today to see if it's that causing the stomach upset. It's not, and my back and hips hurt now  I can't win.

Spoke to my bro on the phone tonight :>> he'd texted me earlier telling me to google summat. I did and found some pics of him at a festival called Evilstock 2007 ... he was in 2 bands, playing guitar and singing. He doesn't busk now so I doubt if Row would recognise him from strumming on the streets of Chorlton cos that was ages ago now. I copied the pics, so I'll put 2 of them in my media for friends only. Dead proud of him. He played that festival in 2004 too.

He told me to go here too ... http://foodfight/org.uk/evilstock but the page kept timing-out. So I'm sticking the link on here to remind myself to look later :))

    edit - http://www.foodfight.org.uk/evilstock/index.shtml

  • Town beckons

Still feeling cruddy. Feel sick when I eat, blocked, sore head, raised temp.

I'll go to the doc's on Monday. Could just be a stomach bug.

Going to Lakeland to spend money as I'm fed-up. I don't care about being in debt now. It's not loads.

    See you later

  • Today

Feeling a bit sick and bloated. I don't think my food's digesting properly. Man, I must be so damn tense and I don't even realise :)) musta got used to it and it feels normal now :)) mum was like that too.

Me & the lad have been watching Men In Trees. Most enjoyable. My pal taped the first 3 episodes of it for me, we watched the first episode, then the second ... got half way through and it skipped back to the Sky Box menu (she taped it from Sky) It won't shift from there and we're both gutted.

Meanwhile I'd set my PC telly card to record Emmerdale and Eastenders. It taped the first one and left an error message on screen for me to come back through here to :(

So, on reflection, it's better to sit here watching things being taped

Me and P had a nice day out today. We've decided not to do lunch any more cos it was getting too pricey ... we each take a turn of buying coffee once per outing now. We did Starbux and Costa today

I wasn't all that tempted to buy anything today. Saw a Ray Lamontagne CD @ £7 then thought "Hmmm A might have that, I'd better check first" and sure enough he has some :))

It was nice chilling with the lad tonight, he seems quite happy :>>

  • some telly stuff

    ABC1 channel has gone :(

I wondered what was going on, cos it's still marked as a freeview channel in the Radio Times, but I just checked out the website and they're not showing in the UK now! That was a bit bluddy sudden!

Did anyone see 'Stuart - A Life Backwards' the other night? I watched it because of the Cambridge thing but it was very powerful stuff. I live right next to the railway and vaguely remember the station being off limits a couple of years ago :( cos someone had been hit.

Tonight there's a programme about some tribesmen from Rep of Vanuatu (never heard of it before) coming over to Britain and having a go at the lifestyle. Makes a change from all the Lenny Henry/Joanna Lumley type stuff. I hope they don't take the P outta them.

Then there's that thing about Belle De Jour on later ... Billie Piper as a call girl :))

Waffling, trying to ignore the fact that my body isn't behaving well :))

It'll be nothing, but I have to admit to being nervous. Shoulda let the doc examine me ... stupid embarrassment

  • All's well

Saw the doc ... blahblah ... he wanted to give me an internal. I declined. Don't look at me like that. He gave me medicine anyway and says he's not happy about it and if it happens again I have to have an internal.

I'll get the medicine later this afternoon. It's fine :D

  • Oops

I think my stomach must have bled with the Volterol :(

I'll let you use yer imagination as to how I know this

  • OMG ... it's HUGE!

Always a good way to start a post.

I've moved the telly and futon from Mini's room, into mine, but he wants it downstairs for one night only

He's going to sleep on it tonight, so you were right :)) as always xxx

  • Ahhhhh!

I was wondering why I was feeling so iffy earlier. Mibbe the whole packet of couple of dark chocolate biscuits I ate :??: or ovulation (how many times per month?!)

I just realised I musta taken the 2nd Volterol too close to the 1st one :>>

  • Tuesday

Have been out for lunch with ex. Mainly cos he agreed to drive me with the bin back to Argos and swap it. Talked about Christmas but didn't actually decide anything :)) Ah well.

They exchanged it with no problems, the new one works :D

    Got dropped home.

*quickly grabbing a towel for the boy and dry clothes*

Cuppa tea ... hot water bottle. He was totally soaked ... wee lamb (ba-aaa)

He helped me move the desk downstairs. We turned it upside down and slid it, almost throwing me backwards with my super-grippy Crocs stuck to the stairs :))

It's settled in the PC room now behind me. Not sure what to do with the huge useless guff telly right now. Then the single futon has to go to ex's house.

The boy's dead chuffed about the bean bag :>> it's nice to have summat to look forward to, innit?

Bought summat frilly that I couldn't find last month ;D

Stood at bus stop to go 'somewhere else' then to Argos, watched a bus go by on the other side and who was in it? Well? Go on, guess :))

    lol

My sister in law. It's been a loooooong time since we last spoke. After the ridiculous shouting match at work I only spoke to her once when I phoned her house to get hold of ex.

Had a right old gab, sitting at a bus shelter, for a flippin hour lol

I've been invited to have Christmas dinner with them, their family, ex and Mini. I don't know. Planning far ahead has always been tricky for me. I dunno what I want to do next week never mind 3 months time. Well, Mini says there's no way I'm spending Christmas alone again this year. Says if I don't go with them then he's not going. Hmmm. Unless I'm going out with friends or summat.

    *aaaaaarg*

Anyway, it was nice to have a catch-up  Life's too short for grudges really.

Didn't have time to go 'somewhere else' so went to Argos and bought one of those bins that opens on touch. It's half price. I ordered a bean bag for Mini. It's huge so they're delivering it on Wednesday :>>

Struggled home with the bin ... feck ... the bin opens all right, it just doesn't frickin shut!

Have to go back tomorrow with it.

    *bleugh*

P.S. Thanks for all the proffered cheeks earlier ;) I virtually kissed all of them *snigger*

    Forgot to tell you ...

When I got back from Tesco yesterday there was a leaflet through the door.

"Say NO to Tesco on our doorstep!"

They're gonna plonk a Tesco about 200 yards from my house :))

Yes, the local shops are cool etc but they can be quite pricey and come on ... the co-op's extortionate!

That'll teach 'em for upping the prices :))

    *ping*

memories of Mini whining saying there's nothin to eat.

    That did it.

Bussed to Tesco with my Molly Trolly :))

Stopping in town for a XL hot dog with sweet chilli relish :>>

Well I kinda saved money by not going in Starbux!!! Su therrrrr

Clected stuff and went for the bus again.

Standing on the main road with the sun beating down on me, I flashed back a month ... aw man ... temptation. Brand new Starbux built on the shop estate.

Will I? Won't I? I've come this far without spending a fortune on wasteful luxuries ... aw hang on, sometimes that's food innit lol

Gritted my teeth and strode past the Land of Luscious Latte *phew* close one.

I'm so NOT embarrassed by that trolly now. A woman got on the same bus as me, went into town and changed buses onto the same bus as me again and got off at the same stop ... she had about 8 bags of shopping and she was really struggling. Ok so I didn't get a 'full shopping' but still, waaaay easier.

Home *phew* unpacked and lay on my bed yapping to the genius of love™

    Fuckin bliss!

Strange how crappy shopping and avoiding nice stuff can end in bliss when I talk to yooooooooooooooooooo :))

Didn't hear Mini phoning me on the way home *Zen in ears*

Got back just after he did.

Horrible phone call from ex. Well, he wasn't being horrible but the news was (last post) *pointing down*

Chat with A then he vanished! PC giving him gyp.

It's been a mixed day. I'm ok about it now. The news was pretty much expected. An infection in the brain. They did well to keep him for so long. My faith feels shakier so I could really do without all the blah blah bloggers and their blah blah I-hate-christians. I've been struggling for a while.

I could also do without the bullshit twisted re-writing of history involving 'the blog argument' going on at the moment. I stopped getting involved in this kinda thing ... till I saw the utter bollox being written and quite frankly my blood boiled :>>

I've followed misguided loyalty before when folk were doing bad stuff round here. I decided (eventually) to right the wrongs and speak up.

No, I'm not two-faced. If you're wrong you're wrong. End of.

    LINKY sound familiar?

There will be no misguided loyalty again. If I see summat that's bullshit I'll get mouthy about it. That's why I've joined in the 'debate' in the past couple of days.

Oh look, I've gone all ranty ... haven't done that for a while!

    *fneugh*

I made 4 cards and me & pal had a nice 3 hours. And A is back. Phew.

  • What's it about?

    Life.

To me it's about relationships. Learning how to relate better to folk. Developing friendship skills.

That's why I love God. It's what He's about. Reconciliation and love. Sharing things and being vulnerable to create bonds with folk.

I've always had problems relating to folk. Always. But I'll keep trying to improve. I can write on here yadda yadda but being a good one-on-one with someone is different.

Everyday I learn something new about myself or about others and try to work it better into my being. Often I fail (eg. my marriage being one huge failure ... but it's not all mine). 'Stuff' gets in the way. Ego, damaged bits, misunderstandings, etc.

We have to keep trying though, don't we?

  • *sigh*

    I wish ....

  • Oh yeah

    Nearly forgot.

I bought a pair of scissors cos my ex cut open Mini's cordless game controllers and bust the other pair I had. They were only £3.50 so I was dead chuffed but the label on the back made me giggle ...

    Caution

Remove scissors from the pack by carefully cutting the tie with scissors and sliding them out.

Went into town with P ... this seems to be becoming a habit :))

Lunch, then checked out sales-type stuff, looked at handbags (no, not for me) looked at stripey socks (yes, guilty) but decided that £7 for one pair was feckin ridiculous. Eyed up the goodies in Whittards ... I bluddy love that shop. But I'm not buying any more of those tubs of flavoured stuff. I can never make it taste the way it does in their wee try-this-then urn thingy.

Went for latte and cake (chelsae bun) mmm then bought those 2 jibbitz for my crocs :>>

Bit of an odd day then.

Haven't heard much on the friend's well-being. Just that he got through the op alive but hasn't woken up due to far too much brain swelling.

It's been occupying my mind the whole day. It did get me back in touch with a good friend I've not spoken to for a while. No big reason we haven't seen each other. No fall-outs, just lives moving in different circles.

There were a group of us who used to have prayer beakfasts. Mums who had kids at the same school, we are all friends and go to a few different churches. Now and then a bulk text will get sent round saying 'pray for summat' (usually a health issue) Today I sent one to my buddy. She owns Ollie the Collie, some older blog pals will remember. Anyway she asked how I was and I said fine ... and I have cake, did she want a blether? :))

She's coming round next week. The cake won't last that long though ;D

I wish I knew what was happening. Ex came to collect Mini earlier and walked through the door chatting on his mobi. He's been talking to a mutual friend off & on all day, updating on our friend's (non) progress.

    *sigh*

It's horrible not knowing that he'll be fine yet.

I think what happened was ... the jousting poles whacked something, either another spear or his own shield. It snapped in half and flew into his face. He was doing a thing for Time Team. I guess they're careful enough mostly, you just can't account for everything happening :(

I always said to P (not Starbucks P) and T that I worried when they were doing this stuff. T's wife does reenactment too, but she doesn't do the jousting or fighting. P's wife must be climbing the walls. Feck I'm climbing the walls! I really hope he's ok.

    Teensy bit stressed.

Phonecall from ex, early. A friend of ours who does re-enactment has had a serious accident whilst jousting. The spear went through his eye, into his brain.

Very worrying. It'll take a miracle.

Haven't told Mini, he was off to school.

  • Got thum

My funny shoes arrived at 10.30 this morning :>> They're very red

P was supposed to be away this week but she wasn't feeling so great, so she's taken it easy and had cabin fever by today.

She brought round a Coffee & Walnut cake mmm and we tested it along with a cuppa tea then headed out for a while.

Went to a garden centre nearby for lunch - Broccoli & Stilton quiche for me and a baked potatty for her. Soon A her new baby Q, daughter I and her parents arrived. It was so lovely to see them all. I honestly was expecting to feel very flat today but the wee yin helped a lot. Little kids can be a tonic (this one' quite cute and doesn't do tantrums, mostly) The baby slept the whole time but I'll catch him another time.

A's a brilliant mum. I've accepted her family into my 'inner circle' of trusted folk  which feels good. There really is an improvement in my confidence *hurrah*

We looked at the craft stuff in the shop next door (my pal makes loads of cards) then drove back here. Stopped at The Black Cat for take-out latte & cappucino and back to mine for a blether. I really needed this today.

    Feeling very blessed.

Oh yeah, here's the shoes (that I couldn't afford but fuckit!) ...

A memorable time in my life and I wasn't puffin at the time either! I'd given up before this. Strike that ... I remember standing on the beach in Brighton with a great big cone

  • So. Where was I?

At a funeral for my friend's very young baby.

Came back to fetch Mini from a friend who was baby-sitting him. Saw the telly and did not have a clue how serious it was.

Watched when I got home. That's when it dawned on me.

    It's still getting worse.

  • Result!

Andy? Where the hell are you? *screeeeam*

I just got a phone call from my skills coach :>> she got a letter back from learn direct and they were mega apologetic about the mix-up with my ECDL. They've written to the Computer Society to sort it out and I'll find out what they say soon. But either way it's good news.

    either

    * I get my qualification for the work I've done
    or
    * they let me do it again for free :>>

She's posting me out a copy of the letter, should get it tomorrow

    *boing*

  • just a little thing

I said summat about something on someone's blog the other week and I've been worrying about it ever since :))

I don't know a frickin thing about ana or mia and I dunno why I quoted the stuff I'd heard 'experts' say on telly. But something inside me jangled afterwards that it might have been offensive just because it was a stereotypical view :??:

I dunno if it did upset anyone, but if it did I'm really really sorry. I should shut it when I know nothing :>>

    That's all. xxxxx

  • Danger - pen (or pencil) IS mightier than the sword!

I visited a website earlier called Firebox and discovered that there are some scary things happening, not just on BCUK. Seems 'they' are trying to wipe out Morph's whole family!!! 88| .....

  • I NEED LINKYS

Has anyone got an interesting website they want to share?

I love finding new sites and I think you lot have cool 'finds'

plus Andy's at work till gawd knows what time and he's BORED

  • My Bad

 Mini says that now too

I was feeling a bit rubbish yesterday so I trawled some sites looking for stuff to buy that I can't afford, as you do.

A male blogger who's not on my list, and I can't frickin remember who it is, gave me a link to a certain site. I checked the site and thought ooooooh and promptly emailed the link to P. I won't be seeing her this week as her dad is having an op so she's gone down to stay at her parents to help out.

Anyway, I saw some shoes that I've been considering for a while. They're mega comfy (as says bluddy everyone I've asked) and I found a style I like. My feet are on the larger side so I wanted a style that would play it down a little ...

    except

    ... the colour I chose is red :)) :)) :))

They're out of stock right now but I found them elsewhere - yeehaaaa!!!

And here they are, well a picture cos they take 2 days to arrive (free delivery in UK too!)

  • Sunday

Came back this morning and called to Marcel, the wee cat that follows me sometimes. He barely batted an eyelid - very unusual for him cos he's so huggy.

Dumped my bike and went to get him. Unresponsive, till I picked him up and he started snuggling and doing that pawing thing that kittens do. Purring etc. Didn't want to be put back down again :(

Got him to follow me home ... come on chi chi chi

He had a bald bit on his ear and when I tried to touch summat sticky on his side he bit me. He musta been in a fight or something. I phoned his owner and she came round.

Her first words - "I'd rather you didn't take him into your house, he gets confused." :(

What I said - "I don't normally let him in but I've never seen a cat looking depressed before, I was worried about him."

What I didn't say - "I don't usually let him in cos he's got feckin fleas"

Anyway, I didn't get the chance to tell her that he seems to have cataracts cos just at that moment an assistant teacher from Mini's old school came past carrying a plate of muffins "Would you like a cake?" mmmmmmm

The best muffin I've ever had, (just stop it Nick) and I don't really like muffins. They taste of nothing - just stodgy nothingness *bleugh*

Later on, the wee lady from next door knocked my back door. Her daughter's the one who had the baby recently, the one we were on *Neighbour Alert* about ages ago cos I heard an argument and a big thud. Anyway ... she can't speak a word of English and just handed over a plate of food saying "Turkmenistan" and smiling lots :>>

    2nd dinner

I'd already had my tea (stir-fried chilli chicken and noodles) so it's shoved in the microwave cos I didn't know what to do with it!

Do I look like I need feeding up???? 8|

Anyway, yesterday was shit and today is a lot better.

Wha's going on? I can smell dope!!! How bizarre

    Gotta go ....

    {{{Miniiiiiiiii!}}} :))

  • One of those warning things

After tossing her books on the sofa, she decided to grab a snack and get on-line. She logged on under her screen name ByAngel213. She checked her Buddy List and saw GoTo123 was on. She sent him an instant message ...

    * ByAngel213: Hi. I'm glad you are on! I thought someone was following me home today. It was really weird!

    * GoTo123: LOL You watch too much TV. Why would someone be following you? Don't you live in a safe neighbourhood?

    * ByAngel213: Of course I do. LOL I guess it was my imagination cuz' I didn't see anybody when I looked out.

    * GoTo123: Unless you gave your name out on-line. You haven't done that have you?

    * ByAngel213: Of course not. I'm not stupid you know.

    * GoTo123: Did you have a softball game after school today?

    * ByAngel213: Yes and we won!!

    * GoTo123: That's great! Who did you play?

    * ByAngel213: We played the Hornets. LOL. Their uniforms are so gross! They look like bees. LOL

    * GoTo123: What is your team called?

    * ByAngel213: We are the Canton Cats. We have tiger paws on our uniforms. They are really cool.

    * GoTo123: Did you pitch?

    * ByAngel213: No I play second base. I got to go. My homework has to be done before my parents get home. I don't want them mad at me. Bye!

    * GoTo123: Catch you later. Bye

Meanwhile.......GoTo123 went to the member menu and began to search for her profile. When it came up, he highlighted it and printed it out. He took out a pen and began to write down what he knew about Angel so far.

Her name: Shannon Birthday: Jan. 3, 1985 Age: 13 State where she lived: North Carolina

Hobbies: softball, chorus, skating and going to the mall. Besides this information, he knew she lived in Canton because she had just told him. He knew she stayed by herself until 6:30 p.m. every afternoon until her parents came home from work. He knew she played softball on Thursday afternoons on the school team, and the team was named the Canton Cats. Her favourite number 7 was printed on her jersey. He knew she was in the eighth grade at the Canton Junior High School. She had told him all this in the conversations they had online. He had enough information to find her now.

Shannon didn't tell her parents about the incident on the way home from the ballpark that day. She didn't want them to make a scene and stop her from walking home from the softball games. Parents were always overreacting and hers were the worst. It made her wish she was not an only child. Maybe if she had brothers and sisters, her parents wouldn't be so overprotective.

By Thursday, Shannon had forgotten about the footsteps following her.

Her game was in full swing when suddenly she felt someone staring at her. It was then that the memory came back. She glanced up from her second base position to see a man watching her closely.

He was leaning against the fence behind first base and he smiled when she looked at him. He didn't look scary and she quickly dismissed the sudden fear she had felt.

After the game, he sat on a bleacher while she talked to the coach. She noticed his smile once again as she walked past him. He nodded and she smiled back. He noticed her name on the back of her shirt. He knew he had found her.

Quietly, he walked a safe distance behind her. It was only a few blocks to Shannon 's home, and once he saw where she lived he quickly returned to the park to get his car.

Now he had to wait. He decided to get a bite to eat until the time came to go to Shannon 's house. He drove to a fast food restaurant and sat there until time to make his move.

Shannon was in her room later that evening when she heard voices in the living room.

"Shannon, come here," her father called. He sounded upset and she couldn't imagine why. She went into the room to see the man from the ballpark sitting on the sofa.

"Sit down," her father began, "this man has just told us a most interesting story about you."

Shannon sat back. How could he tell her parents anything? She had never seen him before today!

"Do you know who I am, Shannon ?" the man asked.

    "No," Shannon answered.

"I am a police officer and your online friend, GoTo123."

Shannon was stunned. "That's impossible! GoTo is a kid my age! He's 14. And he lives in Michigan!"

The man smiled. "I know I told you all that, but it wasn't true. You see, Shannon , there are people on-line who pretend to be kids; I was one of them. But while others do it to injure kids and hurt them, I belong to a group of parents who do it to protect kids from predators. I came here to find you to teach you how dangerous it is to talk to people on-line. You told me enough about yourself to make it easy for me to find you. You named the school you went to, the name of your ball team and the position you played. The number and name on your jersey just made finding you a breeze."

Shannon was stunned. "You mean you don't live in Michigan?"

He laughed. "No, I live in Raleigh. It made you feel safe to think I was so far away, didn't it?"

    She nodded.

"I had a friend whose daughter was like you. Only she wasn't as lucky. The guy found her and murdered her while she was home alone. Kids are taught not to tell anyone when they are alone, yet they do it all the time on-line. The wrong people trick you into giving out information a little here and there on-line. Before you know it, you have told them enough for them to find you without even realizing you have done it. I hope you've learned a lesson from this and won't do it again. Tell others about this so they will be safe too?"

    "It's a promise!"

That night Shannon and her Dad and Mom all knelt down together and thanked God for protecting Shannon from what could have been a tragic situation.

    Aw look ... I know.

I'm lucky blessed. I have a wee Mini person who's really rather a nice young lad. I have a house. I have (sorta) my health. I have at least two good RL friends. I have lots of semi RL/virtual friends. All the crap didn't kill me.

Ok ok I've talked myself round. And it's sunny (ish)

Meh ... I'll get there eventually. xxx

  • *sigh* 2

Aw look ... just ignore that last post. Having a tantrum.

Panicking over a suspected pattern - that I won't allow to happen. A fortnight ago there were excuses (that I didn't believe but let slide) now this week at least a truth of what's happening but it bluddy better not become a habit. I know him too well. Chancer.

    but

If my other half lived a mile away I'd probably do the same ... and what happened to the friendship thing, me? Eh? See! See what you're like! *punch punch*

    Stoopid woman.

It's ok, I'll get to the bit where it can be turned round to my advantage. Wallowing just now.

    *frickin mortality*

  • O2

Has anyone else been having connection problems with their mobile?

I don't know if it's my phone or the network.

If it's my phone ... I can blutooth my stuff onto the PC and get the shop to gimme a new phone, so I'm not all that bothered.

    Just wonderin' that's all.

  • Feefs

I got an email earlier, just before I left the house :-/

There have been a number of Distraction Burglaries in the east area over the past week. The Method of operation for these has been a female knocking on doors asking to use the phone as she has been locked out, or her car has broken down. Once in the house she will leave immediately saying she needs money for a cab etc. She will knock again and use the phone and also steal money.

Please be aware of a female asking to use the phone when knocking on your front door. She is described as light skinned mixed race female, average height, slim build with long dreadlocks sometimes in the company of a young child.

I had to go to Skills Coaching. Mini was due home from school. I was due to finish just as he gets back here, so there woulda been a 10 minute overlap when he'd be alone here. *eep*

Left him a note ... but I was in a rush and wasn't sure I'd worded it so he'd understand. Frickin stress.

Fortunately, since I'd told the Skills Coach about it, she shooed me off early (wise woman) and I got here just as he arrived.

I'm still worried though. Mini is worried. I got an email last week saying someone at (specific street number) had been robbed :(

    I'm a wuss, I know.

Also ... at ex's house the other day Mini saw summat on telly that I have pretty firm opinions about. Someone on the God Channel was talking about music being played backwards ... we've all seen that kinda stuff eh? Ex wasn't in the room at the time. I don't know if he realises how scary stuff like that can be to impressionable kids. Anyway, Mini saw stuff and really took it on board. Stuff about certain musicians being Satan worshippers etc. He found the clips on youtube and played them over to his wee pals. Now he's terrified going to bed :-/ He slept in my bed on Sunday night and the past two nights has asked me to take him upstairs. He's not a wuss, he's a sensitive wee guy. I wish folk would think before letting that kinda stuff happen. My old church talked about that stuff, the church I'm in now would not - under any circumstances, because they're aware. Besides who wants to talk about that?

Anyway, that's the scary thing I mentioned in the meme I posted :D xxx

  • Monday Extra

Lovely day out today. Sun shining mostly here. An extra coffee day with my pal.

I saw her at church and said "could do with an extra Thursday" ... "No probs" said she "will Monday do?" ... sorted

Have had a few trying things going on here with folk thinking they know best what will happen in my life. *sigh*

I'm gonna have to prepare a set speech for answering stoopid questions about ex. He might be coming back to church. Might. ... Nothing to do with me I should add. But I wish they wouldn't assume stuff :(

I ended up in tears the last time folk were praying for my marriage. I know it may sound strange to some of you but I've been through all that. I feel like shouting "Get with the programme ... we split cos we tried all this and it didn't work!" (I'm not saying God doesn't work) Mibbe God has other plans? We rushed into marriage - surely we aren't doomed to feel crappy forever just to help the numbers of 'successful' marriages? Every time they start it's another failure. Every time they are saying to me (or they might as well) 'you are doing something wrong, you have to stay together'. I can't keep going through other people's disappointment at the end of my marriage. That's what I get for caring about frickin approval.

    Gah!

Anyway, a chat with P today helped immensely. We had a cream tea opposite the universities at the back of Camb town centre. Wandered. Chatted. Looked at cute stuff in Disney shop. Had lunch at The Hot Sausage Company stall. My pal runs it, he's a right laugh and has lots of impressive stories (he was a lifeguard in South Africa) Then went to Grafton and had latte and a Rocky Road bar in Starbucks *yum*.

Came home to a house full of 12 yr olds (again) Meh!

Our other friend A that I told you about last Thursday ... she had her baby on Sunday evening. It's a boy. All well and home that evening. It took about 4 hours! :>> My mate is an ex midwife tutor and was there for her through it all. :D

    *switching brain off*

Tomorrow school starts again *stifled yippee*

I shall be in the garden, hopefully, clearing the weeds again :D

  • Aceeeeeeeeeeeeeed

This morning I was having a wee think.

Have any of you ever done acid?

Do you ever frickin wish you'd never touched the damn stuff?

Do you think it opened doors (in your mind) that you wished had stayed shut?

I reckon it made me think too much, analyse too much, care too frickin much.

    *sigh*

  • Cannot bake

I just made the most revolting 'sandwich' cake I've ever eaten (yes I tried to eat it ... twice)

Not only was it flat like a biscuit, but I managed to whisk so much double cream and spread it on ... in the mistaken hope that it might help ... that it all oozed out the edges when I tried to snap cut it.

    Fuck.

I've made sandwich cakes before ... and they were edible ... honest. P taught me how to make them frickin ages ago. She knows I'm not confident and she stood there cheer-leading me to not be scared of the oven.

Gah! I can make sauces, soup and curries ... and even bread.

    *gutted*

just as well P's coming round tomorrow then

The mother scowls and says: "Go back and tell your teacher you want a speaking part."
