I don't think they're proper lawyers.
Ex signed, returned, and was surprised to find the paperwork returned to him. With no explanation. 
He phoned the office, not knowing which lawyer was dealing with it (why hadn't she included a letter with it first time anyway?) and there was no-one able to explain why the paperwork was returned

I vaguely know a lawyer that I really like but he doesn't live round here. Mostly I don't like them though.

Probably a secretary had a brain fart. I used to do things like that.
