I liked the book "The girl with the pearl earring", but thought the film was a bit nothingy., kept waiting for it to start.

I thought I saw the Girl with the Pearl Earring DVD in a shop in Amsterdam, and thought for about 2 milliseconds how strange it was to see an ordinary DVD on a shelf in one of Those shops, then *ding*, realised it was Pearl Necklace...
