phew!

I phoned my ex to ask how it went with Mini with the new access set-up. I was worried in case he was nipping ex's head about wanting to come home to hang out with his wee pals.

Turns out it went really well because he was able to settle in, instead of the usual unpacking his stuff one day and packing again the next day.

We'll keep an eye on how things go on and if it causes any problems he can stay a day less and see him the following Monday.

I'll get used to it, if it's 3 days in a row for once a fortnight. It'll be fine. As long as it went well. Actually, better than well :>>

  I was surprised and relieved, I really thought they'd struggle a bit cos he usually gets bored. But at least he's feeling like it's a second home rather than somewhere he's visiting xxx

  He's left some of his clothes there already. Has a toothbrush there and deodourant etc. there and takes hi Xbox when he goes.

I'd like to have this kind of arrangement for Taf instead of 24 hours every weekend, as I think he settles down more when he's here for a bit longer and we don't get "is it time to go back to mummy's house now" every 5 minutes. But Parsley's ex won't agree and Parsley says he'd miss him too much anyway.
Hard to know what's best for 'em and I'm just the stepmummy so what do i know?

  I was surprised at how well it went for Dan and my ex. I thought he'd get bored from not seeing his mates for so long or not being at his own place - but he really enjoyed it.
  
  Parsley's ex would cut her nose off to spite her face (I don't really understand that but I know WHEN it's apt to say it!)
