* My cold is annoying. It makes my head ache. I don't mind the other bits as much (sore throat, runny nose)

* 'They' can't attack the MPs for doing something they were allowed to do, surely? It's the same as parenting, if you let bad behaviour happen you can't blame the kid for bad behaviour. (I'm guilty of this, maybe most of us are? I dunno) Shouldn't they be picking at the ones who made the rule that allowed them to claim for those unnecessary things on expenses? Did the MPs themselves create the boundaries? Why isn't there someone, with their feet on the ground, making them accountable?

They're giving us this showy display that they're 'doing something' but what they're doing is patently the Wrong Thing.

* I watched When Boris Met Dave. What a shiteous gob of propaganda that was! Not sure which party I detest more.

* Will the Department of Social Security (snigger) have sorted out the bollocks they made of my claim this week?

* Pride is a form of vanity and it does my head in. Although we all feel pleased with ourselves for certain things at times.

We have something here - for some reason I have had it worse than anyone else. Sore throat, cough, burning lungs, shivers, horrible. Mum is staying just now and she always catches these things. This time, she bought some of that First Defence they advertise on the telly and so far, she is yeuch free.

I think they should be accountable. Although they were allowed to claim for all these things they should have realised it was morally wrong and not done it. The whole gravy train thing has even been satyrised (sp?) on the telly in a sitcom (remember that?) and yet, they still did it. I run my own company and I could quite easily claim for things I'm not allowed to, but I know what would happen to me if I did, so I don't. For me, it certainly wouldn't be 'paying it back' were I caught to such a financial gain as them - for me it would be a jail sentence.

Morning!

Colds are yucky! Damn viruses! I would bet money or even my favorite Wii game that there is a cure for the common cold but that will never be released for there is too much money in cold products to be had.

That's my story and I am sticking to it.

I fink the labour government has had 12 years to change the expenses system. Yet it suited them to do nothing as they were enjoying the perks.

My utmost sympathies about the cold Subs. I've had a whinge about mine and very reasonably wanted to kick-in the head of person responsible for giving me it!!!!

I don't like Mordon Broom and his current bunch of muppets. I have always disliked the Tories (my mother's influence). So I'm just hoping the country realises we should all give the Lib Dems a chance.

I don't think they are dealing with this the right way either. It was the system which allowed the abuse to happen which was wrong and not the people who took advantage of the system.

As usual they are putting a tin tack in with a mallet. For the most part I think what they should do is just change the system from now on so that it can't be abused.
