Yeah ... the Poll Tax Rally in Glasgow

    2. Is there an issue you'd protest against now?
    Probably not ... apathy rules

    3. Through-out history there has been an event that has lead to every day at one point or another being called "Bloody." What's the worst day of the week for you?
Wednesday. Dunno why cos I love Pilates.

    4. There have actually been eleven Bloody Sunday events around the world, the last one (1972) leading to a song by U2. Which world wide event would you like to see a song written for?
The general revolution that seems to be seeping through the nation, kicking off about MPs, BBC management, Newspaper big wigs getting paid so damn much.

    5. The one person I'd like to see in prison is …………………… for the crime of …?
Mad Woman, for the crime of constant harassment. Or Blair, no explanation needed.

  • until now

Hmm ... so what's been going on around here me then?

Andy arrived last Thursday and we dashed down to the common to catch the fireworks display. I say dashed, I mean limped with me hanging onto him :>>

He'd bought me a stool to use in the kitchen in between stirs when I'm cooking, last time he was here. He carried that stool into town for me. Wee lamb. It was BLISS not having to shift from one foot to the other, holding my back in pain. I rewarded him with a surprise flask of tea and two cups. I know how to live it up, I do.

    * Next day my mattress arrived. Woop. Very comfy. Like lying on a great big sponge :-/ that thought will have to be replaced.

    * Had a run-in with Mad Woman. Andy went to one shop, I went to another, first visiting the hole-in-the-wall. She was on her (usual) bench.

    * Mini's PC hard drive fried. He switches it off by the mains when he's stropping. Div. Ex put it in shop and drove into town with us. cuppa in Starbux. P walked in with another friend. It was incredibly funny seeing their expressions at me, Andy and ex sitting there together. *joy*

    * Lie woman came to visit on Andy's last day :)) She knew he was here cos we saw her son in town and she no doubt read it on my faceskelp status. Everything she says makes me feel uncomfortable. I suspect her motives for everything. It was bearable cos he was there.

    * He loves Jess :>>

    Cute Jess

P.S. Banned from showing his photo *manipulative teary mote* ;)

  • I love ya ... tomorrow

Ex asked to borrow my hoover today as it can be used like a VAX too. The dog was sick and he needs to wash the carpet. He brought her over in the car.

Poor wee Jess. I am besotted with her. She's a 14 month old liver-coloured English Cocker Spaniel. She'll be a gun dog at some point in the future. When they chose her (ex and Mini) they picked her because she was the calm one. Her sisters were springing around all over the place. She's clever, learns commands fast, but is also a bit stressy just now. She's never been beyond kennels and is finding it all a bit overwhelming.

She hadn't eaten since arriving with them last weekend. They've bought all kinds of foods and they remain opened, un-eaten, wrapped in placky bags. I gave her (processed) chicken slices. She nommed! Woohoo!

Anyway, when he got here he went into the cupboard under the stairs to collect the hoover. Everything in that cupboard is covered in dust. It's foam-backed carpet dust. When we first moved here years ago, we went to a carpet shop and chose a hessian-backed carpet for the stairs. We only had one bike between us so I sauntered off to get the bus. He went back in the shop and changed the carpet order so we got a cheapo foam-backed one!

I suspect that's why he decided to empty the whole cupboard today and clean it out :)) Nice. I'm so so so grateful though. He took everything out, chucked the un-needed boxes in the recycle, whacked the off-cuts of carpet that I keep for no good reason to get rid of all the dust, hoovered and put everything back with a big polythene sheet over it! So tidy 8|

Jess kept going in the cupboard as it was like a wee room. Her own wee room :))

Damn, concentration going. Am watching Seven Days On The Breadline. feel like crying for that daft lad with the tag on his ankle. And the wee souls saying "Free!" when they get new (and very cheap) shoes that fit :'(

    *cough* ... sorry :lalala:

    ANDY'S HERE TOMORROW!

Better go to bed. It's been a long day and we've a school meeting in the morning. Truancy.

    *lalala*

P.S. Mattress delivery on Friday. They changed the date. I'm sure we'll manage ;)
